Being in a familiar environment brings you much comfort. You flourish when you spend long periods of time in one place, nesting, and getting super cozy and comfortable in your home space. This arrow signifies that you enjoy a consistent and structured environment. Environment can be your physical space but also can be your social media, or even your mental space. Fasting works well with your body!īOTTOM LEFT ARROW: ENVIRONMENT This arrow has to do with the environments that help you thrive. IE if you are craving a few big meals one day and then several small snacks the nest that is totally y fine.
You also don’t need to eat in the same way all the time. With food, you don’t need to eat the exact same thing everyday. Sometimes you can even respond with answers that you didn’t even know that you knew. You may not be able to recall or memorize exact details. Maybe its remembering a feeling or deeper meaning instead of what someone actually said.
Which means that instead of remembering acute details you absorb all of the information about a situation. This is because you naturally take in information in a fluid way. You passively digest life (btw this is not a bad thing!!) Freedom and variety are your best friends! You may notice that following a strict structure is tough for you. Fasting is not ideal for you, as you need more consistent intake of food to thrive. With food, you like to have some sort of routine like breakfast at a certain time everyday or following a specific way of eating. How can you best incorporate these into your daily schedule? What are some rituals you can look forward to integrating? Ritual and structure will enable you to live you best life. To do lists, calendars, daily rituals, meal planning and routines work best for you because you like to know what the next step is. You may be able to recall exact details and memorize information easily. You naturally take in information in a more logical and precise way. You enjoy and thrive when there is some kind of consistency and structure to your routines. Let’s jump in with what each of the Arrows represent: TOP LEFT ARROW: DIGESTION This arrow has to do with not only how we best digest the food we eat but also how we take in life, how we take in information and how we best learn. The difference between the right and left arrows is like sketching out a detailed design versus painting with watercolors! Both make beautiful art pieces but are completely different styles! Ra Uru Hu the founder of Human design believed that we were moving from our current “leftness” masculine energy towards more “rightness” and feminine energy.
Left facing arrows are more structured, precise and masculine. In general right facing arrows signify more passive feminine energies, fluidity and flowing with life. As you can see in the above chart (which happens to be mine!!) there are 2 left facing and 2 right facing arrows. The direction they point is key to understanding what they mean for you. Each arrow pertains to a specific aspect in your Design. I invite you to take a look at your own chart and notice which way EACH the arrows point. But nonetheless they are very important and revealing. The Four Arrows (which is also called Variable) in the Human Design world, are part of your design to dig into once you’ve mastered your Energy Type, Strategy and Authority. The truth is that there are so many layers to Human Design. “What do the arrows mean?” is one of the most asked questions about Human Design! And you’ve come to the right place.
